Here’s a fun and beginner-friendly hat that uses two colors of yarn to make varying shades as the hat progresses.

The Fisher Peak Gradient Hat is knit on a 3/4” gauge loom with 36-pegs (like the Knifty Knitter green round loom). The pattern calls for 160 yards of two different colors.

The only stitches you need to know are the e-wrap knit stitch and the purl stitch; so this pattern is perfect for the novice loom knitter.
