This summer poncho is knit on any 3/4" gauge loom with a minimum of 34 pegs. The only stitches you need to know to knit this up are the e-wrap knit, u-knit (or flat knit), and the purl.

This poncho is knit with a stitch pattern loosely based on the pattern I created for my Impatient Infinity Scarf. The beauty of that pattern is that you can use a “shortcut” garter stitch method and just watch how quickly the rows move along!

This poncho is fun and relatively easy to knit up. Plus, there is enough variation to keep you intrigued to the final stitch, but not so much that you have to have complete silence in order to knit without messing up. The poncho has a subtle, but distinct texture difference from the “right side” and the “wrong side”. You can wear it either side out, depending on the look you want.

This pattern requires approximately 350 yards of a dk weight yarn. Baby Bee's Sweet Delight [3] yarn in the Grape Jelly colorway was used in the sample.

Pattern looks great and instructions are very detailed.

I followed the pattern for the small and it is still too big for me. Bummed, but gifting it out. Also the sewn edge needed to be sewn longer to stay on. Easy to follow and comes out really cute, just need to make adjustments to fit me better.

Thank you- this is a nice pattern.
